Newest Addition To My "To Buy" List : Maxi/Long Skirts

I've already bought a few of the cotton dresses that I talked about before; here. Now the next item that has caught my eye are colourful maxi/long skirts. They just seem so appropriate for Summer, all bright and happy like that.

I searched at Rakuten for any pieces that might fit the bill and I came across a few that really made me want to press the "Place In Cart" button. I'll survey for a little longer then make my mind up on which skirt I want the most.

Here are some samples of what I've found.

1. This one is only ￥1500(RM45) and look at all those beautiful colours. Weeeeee~~~

2. If those colours are bit too bright for your liking, I also found these. They're only ￥1000(RM35). They're a bit more soft colour-wise compared to the ones on the top, right? The cut is also a little looser.

3. The orange skirt really caught my attention. These are also ￥1500(RM45), I think. So pretty!

Hmm...so many to choose from and I'm still not done surveying the rest. Hehehe (>.<)

My Must Have For Spring & Summer

I have trouble getting ready for early morning classes in time so a thrown-on dress like the ones below would be lovely. Haha!

These are a few of the dresses available at G.U Japan. Their clothes are super affordable and comfy. G.U is the less expensive sibling of Uniqlo Japan. 

The dresses also come in other different colours but these are the one that I have my eyes on. I'll grab them this weekend, maybe. 

A simple, basic black one for more somber days

A cute laced one for flirty moods

When feeling like one colour just isn't enough

For the denim lovers out there. 

The denim one might also be great on much cooler days. Spring weather can get pretty chilly sometimes.

Spring Trends of 2013 in Japan

1. Coloured Trench Coats

After attending a friend's solemnization at Tokyo Camii Mosque, Yoyogi, Tokyo we all headed to Ginza for the wedding reception. After that was done, I took a stroll down Ginza looking at all the shops. I noticed quite a few stores, both Japanese and European high-end brands, carrying coloured trench coats. Open most magazines this month and you'll probably see this trend too. I like it. The colours add a playful touch to the structured jackets.

2. Denim & Chambray Tops

Also adorning many a mannequins this season are the versatile Chambray and Denim tops. The denim tops are a bit thicker than the chambray but would be totally appropriate for the early Spring weeks seeing as how it's still pretty chilly at that time.

I got the above top at The GAP today. They were having a sale. It was originally ￥4400 but I got it for ￥2900. It's light but opaque enough that my inner wear won't be peeking through. I got this in L even though I'm usually a S/M because I wanted it to have a very casual and airy look to it.

3. Army Green Anorak Jackets

Popped into Forever21's Ginza outlet and this caught my eye. I'm big on embellishments and I have a soft spot for studs and spikes specifically. Again, I saw a lot of mannequins with this on.

Spring Shoes

Since around mid-April the delightful season that is Spring has started. It started to get warmer bit by bit and I was all ready to start wearing dresses again. Then, early this week it started to pour. And pour. And pour. The annoying thing is that it's not even a heavy downpour or anything, it's just a constant drizzle of rain. Where's my sunshine? My chirping birds by the window sill? My sweet spring breeze?


Good God, mana weii~?!

However, me being my usual hard-headed self, I decided to start wearing my spring gear anyways. But with all the rain, any open toed pumps or sandals would leave my feet soaked so...tadaa!

Spring worthy wedge pumps. It was the soft pink colour that caught my eye. I hate an usually large amount of different pink hues so to find one that I did not want to barf on was great.

Yes, there is a sewing kit behind it because it wouldn't have been able to stand without it.

I also like the 'clack clack' sound they make as I walk down the hallway to class. Makes me feel regal, I kid you not.

Oh Oscar, how you make me weep. Such beauty. This year's collection is breathtaking and I am definitely loving the pieces.

This is totally hyping me up for spring :)

My Size 7 Feet

It`s been about 3 weeks since I`ve landed in Japan. Life is great, I guess. I (kind of) understand my classes, classmates are friendly(the good friendly, not the creepy stalker kind) and I bicycle to the local supermarket every 2/3 days.

In Malaysia :
1. Drive to everywhere. Even to the mamak at the corner of the street.

2. Hungry? McD, bebz!

3. Nice Gucci, where you buy? Pasar malam, of course, sayang.

4. Vincci/ Nose/ Aldo/ etc is having a SALE! I`m there!

5. It`s so cool today, 28`C, was it?

In Japan :
1. You wanna go to the movies? I`m in, just let me get my bike (as in bicycle!) first. We race, okay? *wink*

2. I`m starving! Wait, I still haven`t made lunch yet, CRAP!

3. Love your LV, where did you get it? Shinjuku, darling, only ￥120,000(around RM 4K).
(Pirated goods are a big NO-NO here)

4. Shoe sale? Ermm..you think they`ll have my size? (Most shops only sell up to size 6! Small feet much, people???)

4. Waah, it`s so warm! I can`t believe today`s 15`C. Awshumm!


Get my drift? Yeah, life is changing quite a bit. For the better I think anyway...
