Of Packing Things That Really Should Have Been Packed Already

I will fly to Japan on the 29th of March 2010!

I can't wait, obviously, but damn, I am freaking out. I keep going through scenes in my head where I'm dying of starvation/ hit by a densha(train)/ so lost in translation that I cry in the middle of class etc. You get the picture.

My friends are all like -

"You should be fine. It's not like it's your first time overseas, right? "

Hold up! That was with my parents! I didn't have to do anything besides make sure that I had my mum and dad within my peripheral vision at all times.

I didn't have to pay my own bills/ take out insurance by myself/ cook by myself or any other thing that basically had any connection with the word 'independent'.

And, now? Now, it's all on me. Me alone!

Help!

I also haven't started packing my things yet. I love, love to procrastinate. I guess I'll do it some time soon. Tomorrow, maybe?

I'm also freaking out that I might forget to bring something uber-important with me. Then, I'll only realize that I left in Malaysia while in Japan. Crap and double-crap.

ps/ KTJ kids, happy packing, 'kay!

My Fear of Clowns

Yes, I am here to admit that I am deathly, sickly and overwhelmingly afraid-to-death of CLOWNS.

Why, you ask? God damnit, why the eff NOT?!

See evidence below :

I think it all started when I was around 8. I remember that the whole family went to a carnival somewhere(on the outskirts of Manchester, maybe). We bought tickets to go inside the big performance tent to see the spectacle. After like 10 minutes into the performances, a group of clowns came out and started doing their thing. Everyone was laughing their faces off but I wasn't. All I could think of at that moment was that each of the clowns looked scary as hell. The way they looked at the crowd was kinda creepy and, dare I say it, evil. I saw glints of mischief that just freaked me out. It was probably then, that at the age of 8, I knew. I knew that clowns are the spawn of satan.

Heck, I don't even like Ronald McDonald, for pete sake. Have you seen those shoes? Yeah, the ginormous ones? I think he uses it to stomp on little kids that don't buy a Happy Meal.

So, what are you afraid of?

I recommend listening to If You Steal My Sunshine by Len. Loved it during the 90s.

Diet Tip #1

One of my recent discoveries:

Get yourself a mouth ulcer. It'll make the thought of food passing through your mouth sound so very unappealing.

ps/ Damn, ulcer! Me wanna eat!
